Quinceanera. By Daniela Hurtado I will always be there, with my purple dress and my brushed hair. I will always be there, in my fancy party, when I felt my heart happy. I will always be there, living the moment that I waited forever. In the background, the chairs dressed in white, the tables prepared for the occasion. and my cake with pink roses, matching the rest of the salon, making my party perfect and my night special. I see myself there, the center of attention, dancing with my godfather. this occasion, was the night I dreamt of, since I was nine. My quinceanera made me so excited. Like a needed person, who won the lottery. Standing there presented to society, made me jealous of the sun, because I shone more than ever. I will always be there, holding my godfather's hands dancing the vals. I will always be there, with my face smiling at the cameras, like a flower holding her pretty structure to the sun. There is nothing in this world that can erase the feeling of my picture. My godfather and I are captured, in perfection, for the rest of our lives. I will be there, because beyond my happiness and my emotions, of my fifteen years, are stored in this picture forever. |
